"Hater." A mighty jötunn, the father of the giantess Hrímgerðr. She says that he was killed by Helgi as he sat on a crag:

Hrímgerd I am called,

Hati was my father called,

whom I knew the mightiest Jötun.

He many women had

from their dwellings taken,

until him Helgi slew.
