Pangatoru
Or Papakotoru, one of the canoes in which the ancestors of the Māori people came from Hawaiki to New Zealand. The chief of this canoe was Rakewānangaora. The people on board were not allowed to land, but were driven back by the aborigines and returned to Hawaiki.
