Taphius

The son of Poseidon and Hippothoe, or of Pterelaus, son of Lelex. He is regarded as the founder of the city of Taphos, and the first king of the Taphos island chain. He named his people Teleboans, because he had "gone far" from his fatherland. His son is also called Pterelaus.
