Ririno

One of the canoes in which the ancestors of the Māori people came from Hawaiki to New Zealand. It accompanied the Aotea. The chief was called Pōrua. After being storm-beaten, and putting into the small island of Rangitahua to refit, it again sailed, but was lost with all hands on the reef of Taputapuātea.
