Saxi

"The Saxon." After Atli accuses his wife Guðrún of having committed adultery with a certain Þjóðrekr, she offers to prove her innocence by plunging her hand into a boiling cauldron. Before she does so, she calls upon Saxi to bless it:

Send to Saxi
the Southmen's prince,
he can hallow
the boiling cauldron.
