Tatau-o-te-Pō
"Door of Night." A name of the abode of the goddess Miru in the underworld (Pō). It was also called Wharekura. Herein sat the the lesser gods of evil: Rapawhenua, Kaitoa, Moko-hiku-waru, Tūtangatakino, Mutu, Tāwhere, Hurukoekoeā, Mākutu, Taputapu, the Ngarara (the reptile gods), and the "Multitude of the Evil Deities" (te Tini o nga atua-kikokiko).
