Tū-raki
"Standing in heaven." A progenitor of the sun.1 It is also the name of a chief who lived in pre-diluvian times.2 He strictly fulfilled all the laws laid down by Tāne. A third pre-diluvian personage is mentioned as very powerful, and as fierce as Tū-mata-uenga and Rongo-ma-rae-roa.3
