Tū
"Stand erect." A descendant of Rangi and Papa-tū-a-nuku. He is the child of Tawhiti, and parent of Te-kū. Tū was among those taken and lifted up to become eyes for heaven, to adorn Rangi, and from them came the first glimmer of light.
