Gangr
A giant listed among the jötnar in the Nafnaþulur. According to Skáldskaparmál, he was the son of Alvaldi (Ölvaldi), and brother of Þjazi and Iði. They divided their father's inheritance in the following manner: each should take as much gold as his mouth would hold, and all the same number of mouthfuls. Hence gold can be periphrased as Speech, or Word, or Talk of Gangr.
