Iði
A giant listed among the jötnar in the Nafnaþulur. According to Skáldskaparmál, Þjazi, Iði and Gangr were the sons of Alvaldi (Ölvaldi). After his death, they divided their inheritance in the following manner: each should take as much gold as his mouth would hold, and all the same number of mouthfuls. Thus, a kenning for gold is Speech of Iði.
