Kare-nuku

"Agitated world." A goddess seen wandering on the face of the ocean after the Deluge, by the survivors on the raft of safety. With her were Hine-āhua, Hine-raka-tai, Hine-apo-hia, and Kare-rangi. These goddesses sought to destroy the raft by causing a commotion in the sea but were unsuccessful.
