Tautōhito
A celebrated wizard. He and his friend Puarata possessed a magical Wooden Head (Puhi a Puarata), which slew hundreds of persons by the power of its enchantments. It was kept on Puke-tapu, the Sacred Mount. The talisman and the two sorcerers were destroyed by the powerful magician Hākawau.
