Ocyrrhoe

"Fast-flowing." A nymph, the daughter of Chiron and Chariclo. She was named after the river where she was born. She was skilled in the art of prophecy and foretold the fate of her father and that of Asclepius. Her art, however, alienated the gods and Apollo turned her into a mare. Cp. Melanippe.
