Luned
The maiden who rescued Owain from imprisonment in the Castle of the Fountain. She gives him a ring that makes him invisible and helps him to win the hand of the Lady of the Fountain. Later he rescues her from being burned alive.
It appears that the French and English Arthurian figure of Lunete (Lynete, Lynette) in Yvain and elsewhere is derived from her.
