Elaine of Corbenic

Mentioned by Malory as the mother of Galahad by Lancelot. She is the daughter of King Pelles, the keeper of the Grail, and a descendant of Joseph of Arimathea. In order to continue the holy line, Pelles contrives magically to have Lancelot sleep with his daughter in the guise of the Queen.

Elaine of Corbenic is unnamed in most French texts.
