Hector de Maris

In the French Vulgate Cycle and later texts, the son of Bors, and brother of Lancelot. He goes on the quest for the Grail but is denied admittance to the Grail castle because of his worldly ways. Hector later sides with Lancelot against Arthur and helps him rescue Guinevere from the stake.

After Lancelot's death, Hector joins his father in the Crusade to Jerusalem, where he perishes.
