Lionel
In the Third Continuation, the Vulgate Cycle, and Le Morte d'Arthur, the first son of King Bors, the brother of Bors the Younger, and cousin of Lancelot. He and his brother were raised by Claudas after the latter had killed their father. Bors and Lionel accidentally kill Claudas' son Dorin, whereupon Seraide, one of Viviane's maidens, protects them by temporarily turning them into greyhounds.
Lionel was slain in the battle between Mordred and Arthur. He received his name because of a birthmark shaped like a lion.
