Sword of the Strange Hangings

In the Vulgate Queste del Saint Graal, a wonderful sword that can be gripped only by the chosen knight. It was found by Galahad on his search for the Grail. The sword received its "strange hangings" when Percival's sister replaced its girdle by one woven from her own hair.

Before that, the sword was used by King Varlan of Wales to strike King Lambar of Listenois, and the blow turned the two kingdoms in the Wasteland. When Varlan returned the sword to its scabbard he fell dead to the ground. The sword was also drawn by Pellam against Balin.
